WEST LAFAYETTE − Nobody was injured in a mobile home fire shortly after 7 p.m. April 27 in the 300 block of North George Street in West Lafayette.
The fire started in the back bedroom and was confined there. However, Chief Damon Gould of the West Lafayette Volunteer Fire Department said the home will most likely be rendered a total loss. Damage is estimated at $20,000. There is smoke damage throughout the structure, he added.
Gould reported personnel was on scene a little more than an hour. Assisting on scene were Jackson Township, Coshocton and Three Rivers fire departments. The investigation is ongoing and cause is to be determined.
