Three potential trade destinations for Browns WR Cedric Tillman

The Cleveland Browns and general manager Andrew Berry were able to complete another successful NFL Draft last month, with the offense receiving a massive overhaul throughout the process.

After taking a swing at the offensive tackle position with Utah’s Spencer Fano in the first round, Berry ultimately decided to double up at the wide receiver position by selecting Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion and Washington’s Denzel Boston with the team’s next two picks. Now, with multiple new faces joining the roster for the 2026 season, the question becomes simple: Who will Cleveland keep on the roster when looking at the wide receiver position?

One name that has been recently brought up in trade rumors has been 2023 third-round pick Cedric Tillman, as Browns insider Zac Jackson stated in an article that he believes the fourth-year pass catcher could be moved this offseason. If Tillman eventually winds up on the trade block, here are three teams that make perfect sense for the Browns’ veteran receiver.

Atlanta Falcons

With the Falcons recently hiring former Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, Tillman could be a perfect fit for a roster that could use additional depth at the wide receiver position.

Outside of signing veteran Jahan Dotson and selecting Georgia’s Zachariah Branch, Atlanta’s depth at the wide receiver position is lacking heading into next season. With Tillman’s experience under Stefanski over the past three seasons, the 26-year-old pass catcher is a perfect, cheap option to give the Falcons another big-body receiver alongside star Drake London.

Washington Commanders

After missing out on Ohio State’s Carnell Tate and opting to select linebacker Sonny Styles over Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, the Washington Commanders could use an extra weapon for their young quarterback, Jayden Daniels.

Currently, the Commanders’ wide receiver corps features the likes of 30-year-old Terry McLaurin and 2026 third-round pick Antonio Williams, so taking a flyer on Tillman is a great opportunity for a team that is in desperate need of a secondary receiver. Washington’s selection of Williams gives the offense a young playmaker out of the slot, but trading for Tillman offers more depth to the position for the 2026 season.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers, despite being known for having a plethora of wide receivers, could actually use some depth at the position, especially after their former top receiver, Romeo Doubs, signed with the New England Patriots this offseason.

While Green Bay still possesses veteran Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and 2025 first-round pick Matthew Golden, the offense tends to suffer multiple injuries throughout the course of the season, which is why the team’s depth is so important at the position. Watson played in just 10 games for the Packers last year, while Reed missed a majority of the 2025 season with an injury. Since Tillman would be a cheap option, his role as an insurance player behind Watson makes perfect sense for Green Bay’s offense.
