CANTON ‒ A Stark County lottery player had a lucky Labor Day.
A Powerball ticket sold at the Giant Eagle at 608 Raff Road won $150,000 in the Sept. 1 drawing, according to the Ohio Lottery.
The winning numbers were 8-23-25-40-53 and the Powerball was 5.
The win was one of three $150,000 wins in Northeast Ohio for the Sept. 1 drawing — the others coming from Akron and Brunswick.
The winners matched four out of five numbers plus the Powerball number to win $50,000. They also added the power play, which increased the prize to a total of $150,000.
