When it comes to pro wrestling, there are a lot of things that I as a fan enjoy: pyro, cool gear, a catchy theme song and a big man getting picked up to the shock of the crowd, just to name a few.

My favorite thing, however, is friendship. I love a good friendship and I support any storyline revolving around friends, even when I know one will turn on the other, cough cough Kevin Owens cough cough. My favorite friendship is the one between Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. These two men are real-life friends and you can especially see that in Copeland’s book from 2004 “Adam Copeland on Edge.” Not only did the two chase their dreams together, but they also made fun of and aggravated each other, which is the mark of a true friendship in my opinion.

Now might also be a good time to mention that Copeland is my favorite wrestler ever. He was extremely nice when I met him, twice, and has been entertaining for years. Watching him perform live was a dream come true. When ranking the best moments of my life him smiling at me will always be in the top five no matter what I do. I have also met Cage, who wasn’t mean but definitely wasn’t as nice, so there might be some truth to their on screen characters.

Because I love friendship, and Copeland, so much I am naming Adam Copeland and Christian Cage my Wrestlers of the Week.

This duo recently won tag team gold again for the first time in decades during Double or Nothing. Then, on Dynamite, they attempted to bring back the five-second pose with disposable cameras and everything before being attacked.

I’m aware that these two are closer to the end of their career than they are the beginning, but I am loving them together and am excited to see where they go as tag team champs in AEW.
