CHILLICOTHE — For decades, Adena Health has been helping keep members of Ross County safe. Under the health system’s newest plan, leadership is committed to continuing those efforts and improving the community step by step.
President and CEO of Adena Health, Kathi Edrington, recently announced a new five-year plan for the health system to help guide and strengthen it.
The plan is built around these areas: Access, Excellence, Culture, Stewardship, and Advancement.
“We are very much about keeping care close to home,” said Edrington.
Actions stemming from this plan are already underway at Adena. They include the construction of a new medical center in Fayette County, the introduction of retail pharmacy services, the expansion of school-based clinics and more.
Edrington calls Adena Health a “gem,” and says she hopes this plan not only helps Adena’s workers and patients but also inspires other rural healthcare systems by showing them what is possible.
