Cambridge senior Garrett Carpenter recently signed his letter of intent to attend Muskingum University to continue his academic and basketball careers next fall. In high school, Carpenter played football for two years, golf for two years, baseball for three years and basketball for three years. Following the 2026 basketball season, Carpenter earned second team all-Ohio, first team East District, first team District 12, Buckeye 8 All Conference, and first team OVAC 4-A. Carpenter recognized his parents Aaron and Audra Carpenter, his sisters Kirsten and Laney, his coaches in all sports, his friends, and the rest of his family for all their support.

See where student-athletes are headed with the College Signing Tracker

Senior student-athletes in the Daily Jeffersonian coverage area are putting their signatures on their college commitments to continue both their academic and athletic careers at the next level.

National Signing Day for NCAA Division I and II sports outside of football began Wednesday, Nov. 12. Early signing for DI football is Dec. 3-5 and the regular signing period for all divisions of football begins Feb. 4.

Seniors headed for DI basketball programs can sign between Nov. 12-19, and then again beginning April 15.

The Daily Jeffersonian will list all the area student-athletes committing to play NCAA Division I, II and III athletics. This list will be updated throughout the school year as more commitments are announced.
