The Ohio State Fair is less than a month away, so hold onto your hats because things are changing!
Along with classic favorites like the butter cow and funnel cakes, the Ohio State Fair has added some new and improved features. Here is what to expect.
The Barnyard
Two classic fair staples, the pig races and petting zoo, have been moved to The Barnyard. The new location offers seats in the shade so attendees can fully enjoy the animal excitement.
Chainsaw carving
Watch masters at work while they transform regular pieces of wood into artistic masterpieces with just a chainsaw.
Cincinnati Circus Aerial Entertainment
Take a stroll to the south end of the Mountain Dew Midway to watch performers twist, bend and defy gravity.
Free concerts
In addition to paid concerts, the fair will offer two free concerts. No tickets are necessary.
Paid attractions
You can try your hand at beating the bar, throwing axes, mining for gems or flying through the air, as four new paid attractions will be added.
Rodeo Night
On Aug. 2 at 6 p.m., the Rough E Rodeo will be taking the stage at the Ag-Pro Companies Taft Coliseum. Tickets for the family-friendly rodeo are $18 and include fair admission.
Entry gate
Fair attendees will be greeted with a new entry gate, with permanent ticket booths, on the north side of the property.
Merchandise
Two new gift shop locations will be joining the fun in the Bricker Building and Central Park. They will also have new fair accessories like hats, stickers, patches and more.
