COLUMBUS — Ahsha DiPietro’s hat trick is complete.
The Perry senior raced to the center of the awards’ podium at the OHSAA Track and Field Championships for the first time in two years and kept coming back for more. She swept the seated 100, 400 and 800 events at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on June 6 to end her career with five outdoor state titles.
DiPietro state titles were her first outdoors since 2024 when she won the 100 and 400.

“It’s bittersweet for sure,” DiPietro said. “Not being able to do this for two years because of health reasons, but coming back good and strong again means a lot to me.”
DiPietro won the 100 in 22.04 early in the day. Two long weather delays before the 400 and 800 felt excruciating at first.
“It really put my mood down a lot, but I got my head back into the game,” DiPietro said. “What really helped me today was listening to music to block out all the noise and my thoughts and stuff. I wasn’t really thinking about anything.”
DiPietro won the 400 by almost 15 seconds, finishing in 1:17.76. She won the 800 decisively in 2:39.50.
“I’ve definitely improved in the 800,” DiPietro said. “It’s not really my strongest. Normally I feel like super fatigued and tired after first lap, but I felt really good after the race.”
DiPietro’s other state titles at the high school level came at the OATCCC Indoor Championships. She won the 60 and 400 as a sophomore in 2024 and again this year.
