Millersport seniors, Walnut Township School Board meet

The Millersport Senior Citizen met April 17, in the Millersport Lions Clubhouse, 2905 Chautauqua Boulevard. President Richard Neff welcomed those present and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Debbie Gant offered the prayer before the potluck lunch.

Following lunch, President Neff conducted the business meeting. He announced that the 2026 Millersport Sweet Corn Festival Raffle Tickets are on sale. He also announced that the Carroll Lions Club will be having a Fish Fry on April 25th. The minutes were read and approved as was the Treasurer’s Report. Several members were unable to attend due to health issues. More discussion was held on plans for a trip in July. Richard asked members to think about electing officers for the new year.

The next meeting will be held at noon May 1, at the Lions Clubhouse. Linda Compton will serve on the Kitchen Committee. Door prizes were won by all present. The meeting was adjourned.

Board of Education

The Walnut Township School Board of Education met April 13, in the Laker Learning Center of Millersport High School. Several teachers and parents spoke during the time for public participation.

Reports were heard from the Extra/Co-Curricular, Health and Safety Committee; the Staff Personnel and Finance, Labor Relations Committee; High School Principal Brad Lanier, and Superintendent Radulovich.

The following Superintendent’s Recommendations were approved:

Discussion was held concerning the Assistant Principal/AD position.
