Massillon police investigating stabbing, 27-year-old man injured

MASSILLON ‒ A 27-year-old man was stabbed shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 50 block of Fifth Street NE, police said.

Lt. Nicholas Antonides said in a press release that officers immediately rendered life-saving aid before the victim was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.

He said the Massillon Police Department’s Detective Bureau is actively investigating. No further details are available at this time.

“This incident underscores the importance of continued vigilance in our community,” Antonides said. “The Massillon Police Department remains focused on maintaining a safe environment for all residents through ongoing investigative efforts and community engagement.”
