Breeze Airways will soon launch a flight between Daytona Beach International Airport and Akron-Canton Airport in Ohio, which is about 50 miles from Cleveland.
The airline plans to operate the new route on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting on Sept. 3, according to a news release from the Daytona Beach International Airport.
People can buy tickets now starting at $49 one way.
The addition will mark the fifth flight option out of Daytona Beach for Breeze Airways. The airline, which began operating in Daytona Beach in November 2024, also offers flights twice a week to Westchester County-New York, New York; Hartford, Connecticut; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; and Providence, Rhode Island.
Daytona Beach Airport Director Karen Feaster said the community has “embraced Breeze” since it launched.
“Breeze is strengthening its commitment to our community by introducing a fifth nonstop route — this time to a popular Midwestern destination, marking the first nonstop service to that region from Daytona Beach,” Feaster said.
