Major prediction placed for Ohio State target David Gabriel Georges

We are just two days away from finding out the landing spot for priority Ohio State running back target David Gabriel Georges and while it’s been relatively quiet, Monday morning provided some additional intel on where things may stand.

On Monday, On3 national insider Pete Nakos placed a prediction for Georges to end up at Tennessee. While there are three predictions placed for Ohio State to land the five-star running back, they are all over a month old. Nakos placed his prediction with 70% confidence — the highest of any current prediction. Nakos also holds a 98% accuracy rating with his all-time predictions.

Gabriel Georges is down to three schools in his recruitment: Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. But it’s been a relatively close battle between Ohio State and Tennessee over the last few weeks.

Ohio State had been generating some buzz over the last week and had been quietly rumored to be the team to beat for some time, but there continues to be one variable that could be more in play than some think: jersey number.

Gabriel Georges currently wears 0 and is looking to wear the same number in college, but the Block “O” is a tradition at Ohio State that typically goes to an upperclassman, and someone who has shown a high level of production at Ohio State throughout their career.

Up to this point, it’s been rumored that his NIL deal is ‘expected to be in the $1 million range, shy of $2 million, ‘ according to On3 national insider Pete Nakos. With that, he’s expected to be the first $1M running back in college and considered to be a ‘can’t miss prospect’.

The 5-11, 210-pound running back has been clocked at 4.38 in the 40-yard dash and had 1,749 yards on 10.9 yards per carry with 27 touchdowns last season.

Georges will let the world know of his decision on Wednesday at 5:30 pm ET.
