About one year ago, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow revealed that he did the Netflix “Quarterback” show because Peyton Manning had a hand in his recruitment.
Now, it’s Joe Flacco’s turn.
Flacco co-stars alongside Baker Mayfield, Jayden Daniels and Cam Ward on the show this year and admits that only Manning’s presence really swayed his opinion on doing it.
“I probably didn’t want to do it,” Flacco said, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “The fact he asked me in the first place makes me feel better about doing it.”
Like Burrow’s appearance, it should be fun for Bengals fans to get a little behind-the-scenes footage of the how and why around the team.
Also like Burrow, trust in Manning’s production not to hurt the Bengals in any way helps. This year’s show debuts on July 14.
