Isabel Evans carries the top-seeded time into the Division III state track finals in both the 100-meter hurdles and 300 hurdles.
The Northridge senior crossed in times of 14.22 seconds and 43.12 seconds during the preliminary races June 6 at Ohio State. Evans is the reigning Division II champion in the 100 hurdles.

Teammate Ava Travis also qualified to the finals in both the 200 (25.60) and 400 (57.34). She is seeded fourth in the former and third in the latter, resetting her school record.
In the Division II boys meet, Northridge’s Nathan Burkey (38.98) and Lakewood’s Troy Martindale (39.50) each qualified for the finals in the 300 hurdles.
In the Division I boys meet, the Watkins Memorial foursome of John Apel, Jaeden Ricketts, Joe McIntosh and Ray Hardiman continued its record-breaking run in the 400 relay, setting a Jesse Owens stadium mark at 41.03 and carrying the top time into the finals.
Apel also had the top preliminary time in the 400 (47.80), and Ricketts qualified in the 100 (10.50).
Granville’s foursome of Corbin Bell, Bode Shoaps, Nolan Cheney and Will Ebner qualified for the finals in the 1,600 relay (3:18.75).
Newark’s Roy Price Jr. fell short of qualification in the 110 hurdles (15.55) as did Licking Heights’ Temiloluwa Jaf-ogunlayi in the girls 100 (12.04) and 200 (24.75).
