The No. 10 Florida State Seminoles will play the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday at Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida. It is nearly time for Game Two of the series, with FSU looking to secure the series win.
FSU (26-11, 10-6 ACC) crushed the Fighting Irish on Friday, picking up an 11-0 run-rule victory thanks to some great pitching by Wes Mendes and an explosive sixth inning from the offense. It is their first shutout win since March 14, when they picked up back-to-back shutout wins over Wake Forest.
The 11 runs are the most they have scored against an ACC opponent since March 28. Hunter Carns and Eli Putnam both had three-run homers in the game, and Nathan Cmeyla went 3-4 with a double and three RBI.
The Seminoles now lead the all-time series against Notre Dame 28-17, including 17-7 at home. They have won six of the last seven meetings, including sweeping them in 2024 at Howser.

Notre Dame (17-16, 7-12) struggled in all phases of the game on Friday, finishing with just five hits, and made three errors. They will have their best pitcher on the mound in righty Jack Radel (4-2, 2.82 ERA) as they look to turn things around.
