Bridge being replaced on Perine Road
ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum County Engineer’s Office has announced Perine Road will be closed from Shiplett Road to Coopermill Road for 21 days starting May 26, for a bridge replacement.
AIM Outreach receives basket bingo donation
DRESDEN − Smore Baskets in Dresden recently held a basket bingo as a fundraiser for AIM Outreach, a local non-profit food pantry in Dresden and Frazeysburg providing lunches to youth in need. The event raised $4,000.
Book signing and art show planned
ZANESVILLE − A book signing and art show related to “Birth, Death and Resurrection of a Golf Course: Mangold Country Club to Zanesville Jaycee Public Golf Course” by Jim Boyd will be from 5 to 7 p.m. June 2, in the library of Ohio University Zanesville.
Cancer survivors celebrated at Genesis
ZANESVILLE − Genesis Cancer Services will have a Celebrate Life event for cancer survivors and their families from 4 to 6 p.m. June 7, at the Genesis Cancer Care Center, 2951 Maple Ave. The event will include the band Mister Joe, the St. Paul AME Hymn of Praises Choir, food, a photo booth, a gift for survivors and keynote speaker Natalie Montani on her cancer experience.
Young earns scholarship
ZANESVILLE − Connor Young of Maysville High School recently received a $500 Larry Denbow/Michele Young Key Club Scholarship from the Zanesville Kiwanis Club. The son of Dustin and Sarah Young plans to attend the University of Rio Grande.

● Zanesville Metropolitan Housing Authority Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. May 28, at the J. Lincoln Knapp Center, 407 Pershing Road.
● Foxfire Schools Board of Education will meet in regular session at 7 a.m. May 29 in conference room of the school, 2805 Pinkerton Road.
● Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services Board will meet at 5 p.m. June 4, at the board office, 205 N. Seventh St.
