ODOT performing landslide repair on Ohio 93

COSHOCTON − The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced Ohio 93 will be closed for 75 days starting May 26, for a landslide repair from Township Road 145 to Ohio 662. The suggested detour is Ohio 93 to Ohio 541 to Ohio 16 to Ohio 83 to Ohio 93.

Pomerene Center holding dance series

COSHOCTON − The Pomerene Center for the Arts is holding the fifth year of its Street Dance Series, newly named the Kathleen O’Shea Street Dance Series, in recognition of support from the John D. O’Shea and Kathleen E. O’Shea Fund at the Coshocton Foundation. All performances start at 7 p.m. at the artPARK on Main Street. Artists will be the Cardon Polka Band on May 29, The Wayfarers with American roots music on June 12. Salsa dance with Yumbabme is on June 26. Funk music with Willie Nelson Mandela is on July 10. Swing music with the Lake Park Big Band will be on July 24.

4-H Junior Camp registration

COSHOCTON — Registration for Coshocton County 4-H Junior Camp is open through June 5 online at go.osu.edu/coshcamp26. The five-day camp will be July 5 to 9 at 4-H Camp Ohio. It’s for youth age 8 and in third grade as of Jan. 1 to those completing seventh grade. Cost is $155 and includes meals, lodging, insurance, crafts and a variety of activities.

Leadership Coshocton class graduates

COSHOCTON − Leadership Coshocton County recently held its graduation ceremony at the M Event Centre. A community project saw class members volunteering more than 80 hours to expanding flower baskets and pots at Skip’s Landing

Graduates were Connie Allen, Donnie Allen and Jessica Carr of McWane Poles; Shantelle Coffman and April George of KnoHoCo Ashland Community Action Commission; Ashley Guthrie of the Coshocton Port Authority; Emily Henry of Coshocton County Job and Family Services; Chloe Hollback of United Way of Coshocton County; Amy Hunter of Buckeye Fluid Solutions; Tisha King of Coshocton County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Help Me Grow; Corie Lahna of Bratton Law and Dogwood Title; Audrey Phillips of OhioHealth/Southeastern Med; Kaden Smith of H. Dewey Thompson Financial Service; Heather Stoffer of the Hummel Group; Brittany Taylor of the Coshocton Public Health District; Josh Walsh of the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office; and Jim Wright of McWane Ductile.

Gary Lowe wins chili cook-off

COSHOCTON − Gary Lowe won the chili cook-off sponsored by Grace United Methodist Church. More than $750 were raised to help furnish the new kitchen at the church. Brian Clark took second place and Wayne Kneppere third place.

Chorale presenting season finale concert

COSHOCTON − The Coshocton Youth Chorale will present its final concert of the season at 7 p.m. May 26, at the Coshocton Presbyterian Church. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Selections will include “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” “Ease on Down the Road” and “Dona Nobis Pacem.” Graduating seniors will be recognized.

Banquet for Ridgewood alumni

WEST LAFAYETTE − The West Lafayette and Ridgewood Alumni Association will have it’s annual banquet June 6 in the gymnasium of Ridgewood High School, 602 Johnson St. Social hour starts at 4:30 p.m. with meal at 5:30 catered by Schumaker Farms. Cost is $23 with $2 dues per graduate. Honor classes are 1746, 1956, 1966, 1976 and 1986. Registration forms are available at ridgewood.k12.oh.us.

Meetings

● River View Local Schools Board of Education will meet in regular session at 5 p.m. May 26 in the library of River View High School, 26496 Ohio 60, Warsaw. This is a location change from previously announced.
