Guardians, Pirates, MLB monitoring situation with smoke, air quality

The Guardians and Pittsburgh Pirates are set to play at Progressive Field the night of July 17, but the series-opening game could potentially be in some jeopardy if air quality concerns worsen.

Fires burning through Canada have added a thick layer of smoke across many parts of the United States, with Cleveland and Northeast Ohio included. In some areas, especially around Detroit, the air quality reached dangerous levels.
