CANTON − The groundbreaking for Duncan Square, a new housing development designed to reduce homelessness, will be held from 4 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at 3320 35th St. NE.
The $2.3 million development is a project of ICAN Housing in partnership with the city and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
It features 12, one-story apartments, along with wraparound social services.
The development is named after Carol Duncan, a retired ICAN executive.
Other community partners include the Sisters of Charity Foundation, Stark Community Foundation, Timken Foundation of Canton, Lemmon Foundation, Deuble Foundation and MXA Architecture of Akron.
