The Columbus Aviators are still in the hunt for a United Football League playoff spot with four games remaining, and they face the St. Louis Battlehawks on the road May 8.
Columbus is 2-4 and coming off a 24-17 win over the Houston Gamblers, in which the Aviators scored three first-half touchdowns and outgained the Gamblers 367 to 160 in total yards.
The Aviators are tied with three other teams at the bottom of the standings, but sit just one game back of a playoff spot held by the Dallas Renegades (3-3). Four of the league’s eight teams make the UFL playoffs.
The Aviators match up against the second-place Battlehawks, who are coming off a two-game win streak and recently beat the Louisville Kings 16-3.
