A third round of “No Kings” rallies is set to take place across Northeast Ohio on March 28 as organizers look to build on protests that have drawn millions of participants nationwide.
The events, known as No Kings Day, are part of a broader movement opposing President Donald Trump and what organizers describe as authoritarian policies. Demonstrations have been held in cities and small towns alike, bringing together residents who say they want to defend democratic norms, civil rights and community accountability.
In June and October 2025, millions of Americans participated in coordinated rallies across the U.S., with Indivisible, the nonprofit coalition behind the events, describing the nationwide turnout as a “peaceful show of people power” that challenged attempts to consolidate authority. The movement has continued to gain momentum as organizers highlight recent federal actions and policy decisions that they say threaten rights, services and local communities.
Here’s what to know about the upcoming rallies.
Who is organizing No Kings Day?
No Kings Day is being organized by Indivisible, a nonprofit coalition of political action groups.
What are the No Kings, anti-Trump protests?
Indivisible says the protests are aimed at “defend[ing] ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.”
Organizers point to large nationwide turnouts in June and October 2025 – with millions participating – as momentum for a growing movement they describe as a sustained, peaceful pushback against policies under Trump.
The group says Trump has escalated his actions, sending masked agents into communities, targeting immigrants, threatening elections, and cutting healthcare, education and environmental protections.
“The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings – and we won’t back down,” the No Kings website read.
