District track and field finals commenced this past week, with extra divisions offering more opportunities.
Here is a look at the qualifiers from each division around the Muskingum Valley.
The four placers in each event advanced to regional at Troy (Division II), Muskingum University (Division III), Austintown Fitch (Division IV) and Chillicothe Southeastern (Division V).
Division II at Marietta College
New Philadelphia won the team event with 119 points, followed by Steubenville (79), Vincent Warren (76), Logan (73) and Athens (45); Washington Court House Miami Trace won the girls meet (151), while Logan (121) was second, New Philadelphia (74) third, Steubenville (69) fourth and Tri-Valley (68) fifth).

Division III at St. Clairsville
John Glenn was runner-up in Division A with 73 and Zanesville was third (60) behind champion Cambridge (77); River View was runner-up (106) in Boys Division B and Morgan was fourth (82 1/2). St. Clairsville won boys Division A and Meadowbrook was second.
