Will Brooks Koepka play in 2026 Memorial Tournament? What to know

Will golf fans see Brooks Koepka back at the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club from June 4-7?

Koepka, a five-time major champion, announced his return to the PGA Tour in December after a three-year stint with LIV Golf. He is the only golfer participating in the Returning Members Program, which the PGA created for golfers who met “elite performance-based criteria.”

Requirements for the program are that a player must have won one of the four majors or the Players Championship from 2022 to 2025 and also have not been a member of the PGA Tour for at least two years. Koepka’s most recent major win, the PGA Championship in 2023, made him eligible. Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith were the golfers who met the criteria but chose not to reenter the PGA Tour.

Koepka last played in the Memorial in 2020. He made the cut and finished tied for 62nd and 12 over par.

Will Brooks Koepka play in the 2026 Memorial Tournament?

No, Koepka will not be in this year’s Memorial Tournament.

Koepka withdrew last week from the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club, a tournament with significant qualifier implications and the last PGA event before the Memorial, the next signature event on the PGA Tour calendar. Koepka does not fit in any of the five requirements to qualify for a PGA signature event:

The sixth way of qualifying for the Memorial, via sponsor exemption, does not apply to Koepka. As part of the Returning Members Program, Koepka is ineligible to receive sponsor exemptions for signature events.

When is the 2026 Memorial Tournament?

The Memorial Tournament is from June 4-7 at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.
