A teenager was killed in a shooting in Over-the-Rhine, according to Cincinnati police.
Officers were dispatched a few minutes after 9:30 p.m. on June 19 to the 1300 block of Vine Street for a reported shooting, police said in a news release.
Police arrived on the scene to find a 16-year-old boy had been shot. First responders took the teen to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.
Officials have yet to release the teen’s identity, nor have they released any information about a possible suspect in the shooting.
The Cincinnati Police Department’s homicide unit is handling the investigation. Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call detectives at 513-352-3542.
