Wild Orchard, a tea company headquartered in Mount Kisco, has expanded into Target stores across 26 states with its Jeju Black Matcha product.
The company launched its partnership with Target in May 2026, placing the matcha in 146 stores nationwide.
Matcha sourced from South Korean tea farm
Wild Orchard sources its matcha from a 1,000-acre tea farm on Jeju Island in South Korea. The company said the matcha can be prepared with water or served latte-style with milk and has an earthy flavor with notes of chocolate and coffee.
According to a news release, the product is intended to bring Korean tea culture to consumers “with transparency and integrity.”
Jeju Black Matcha is currently available at one Target store in Westchester County, located in Mount Vernon, as well as other Target locations across the tri-state area. The company also offers an online store locator.
First national retail partnership
Wild Orchard said the Target partnership marks the first time the company has teamed with a national retailer to sell its black matcha products, which were previously available online and at smaller independent stores.
The company said the matcha meets the highest organic agriculture standards.
Company founded cooperative, established HQ in 2020
Wild Orchard is a farming cooperative made up of more than 3,000 members and owns and operates the Jeju Island tea farm.
The company established its Mount Kisco headquarters in 2020. A spokesperson said many members of the Wild Orchard team live in Westchester County, making Mount Kisco a natural fit while also connecting the company to the broader New York metropolitan market.
Wild Orchard incorporated in the United States and launched its online store in 2020. In 2024, the company introduced a separate line of tea bags at Whole Foods Market stores.
