Tough times to praise: What Seahawks' Sam Darnold said about the Jets

Quarterback Sam Darnold has led his Seattle Seahawks team to Super Bowl 60 where they will face the New England Patriots.

Once upon a time, the New York Jets selected him No. 3 overall in the 2018 NFL draft.

Darnold is long removed from the Jets. He has not played in New York since 2020 and the Seahawks are his fifth NFL team.

Darnold’s long, winding journey starting in New York was still brought up to him during the lead up to Super Bowl 60.

When discussing the Jets, Darnold was candid but did find room for positive commentary. In one mention, Darnold called being traded by the Jets to the Carolina Panthers one of the toughest times of his career while adding he “loved” his past career experiences.
