A series of rainstorms that began during the day and continued into the night on July 21 brought more than 2 inches of rain to a few locations in the mid-Hudson Valley, according to the National Weather Service and other observations posted online.
Dutchess County had some of the highest totals.

Other, lesser totals noted around the county included Pleasant Valley, 1.82 inches; Verbank, 1.68 inches; Dover Plains, 1.31 inches; LaGrangeville, 1.28 inches; and Millbrook, .98 inches.

Ulster County rainfall totals
West Shokan and Accord had the highest totals in Ulster County, with 1.81 inches apiece.
They were followed by Phoenicia, 1.73 inches; Wawarsing, 1.69 inches; Shokan, 1.66 inches; Kerhonkson, 1.55 inches; Marbletown, 1.52 inches; Stone Ridge, 1.32 inches; Olivebridge, 1.3 inches; and Napanoch, 1.18 inches.
Sullivan County rainfall totals
Grahamsville led Sullivan County, which had the region’s lowest overall average totals, with 1.54 inches.
That was followed by Hurleyville, 1.43 inches; Liberty, 1.42 inches; Swan Lake, 1.29 inches; Ferndale, 1.26 inches; Harris, .99 inches; Kauneonga Lake, .84 inches; Monticello, .79 inches; White Lake, .54 inches; Smallwood, .53 inches; and Mongaup Valley, .48 inches.
