A popular bar and restaurant known for its chicken wings is heading to Greece.
Jeremiah’s Tavern will open its fourth location in the spacious building at 300 Paddy Creek Circle in Greece; district manager Dan Keenan confirmed the local chain has purchased the building there.
The former home to Silo Social is getting remodeled to have two party rooms for private events, a large dining room and a bar. The plan is to open in early to mid-spring, he said.
“We’re very excited,” he said. “We definitely look forward to serving the residents of Greece and the surrounding communities.”
Jeremiah’s also has locations in Rochester, Henrietta and Penfield. It recently renovated its longtime location at 1104 Monroe Ave., removing the second floor above the bar to give the place a roomier, brighter feeling. A couple of years ago, it scrapped plans to open at the intersection of Titus Avenue and Cooper Road in Irondequoit.
Silo Social announced its closure via Facebook, saying its lease had come to an end but said it wouldn’t be gone for long.
“We’re already moving quickly and working hard to find the right new space so we can reopen as soon as possible,” the post said. “We’re excited for what’s next and can’t wait to welcome you back in our new home.”
The husband-and-wife team of Peter Causyn and Jessica Fredericks opened the Silo Brunch Bar in 2023. It had a focus on all-day brunch. Causyn, who has launched and sold several businesses in the food-and-drink industry, said he sold the restaurant roughly a month after it opened but retained ownership of the building. The new restaurant owner changed the brand to Silo Social and added a lunch and dinner menu as well as live music.
The D&C has tried to contact the current owner of Silo Social for more information about future plans.
