The New York Giants have added depth to their special teams unit by signing undrafted free agent kicker Dominic Zvada from Michigan, a move that aligns with head coach John Harbaugh’s emphasis on reliable specialists following past inconsistencies at the position.
Zvada, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound prospect, brings a powerful leg and proven big-game experience to a competition that includes veteran Jason Sanders and Ben Sauls. His arrival signals the organization’s determination to avoid another season of kicking uncertainty.
Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic believes Zvada is one of the undrafted free agents to watch this summer.
Zvada was one of the handful of kickers I thought had a shot at being drafted on Day 3. He made 21 of 22 field goals in 2024 to earn Big Ten Kicker of the Year honors. He was less consistent last season as a senior but has shown a big leg — he was the first kicker in Michigan history to hit four or more from 50-plus in one year.
While his 2025 campaign showed some variability, his junior-year excellence—including record-setting long kicks—positions him as a strong contender in training camp.
Under Harbaugh, Zvada will have every opportunity to earn a spot through consistent performance.
