The New York Giants have claimed defensive lineman C.J. Ravenell off waivers from the Tennessee Titans and cut cornerback Rico Payton (waived/injured).
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Ravenell played in 14 games with one start last year for the Titans under defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, who is now in the same capacity with the Giants. He recorded six tackles (one solo) and a forced fumble.
Before joining the Titans, Ravenell spent the entire 2024 season on the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri Western State.
