Mamaroneck house overlooking Long Island Sound is on the market for $18.99 million

A new 8-bedroom Mamaroneck house with sweeping views, perched on Long Island Sound on a private peninsula, is on the market for $18.99 million.

Described by the listing as worthy of the magazine Architectural Digest, the 104 Premium Point Road home on 1.3 acres has 360-degree water views on southern Westchester’s Sound Shore. The home is the “crème de la crème of an exclusive guard-gated community.”

Along with overlooking the Sound, the house, on four levels, backs onto Premium Mill Pond. It has an elevator, a custom gym, and three-car heated and cooled garage, according to the listing.

It has “walls of glass for a panorama of pure uninterrupted bliss from sunrise to sunset. Each space is breathtaking – from the dramatic open concept family and living rooms to the sensational kitchen with two islands, adjacent butler’s pantry/wet-bar and seriously stylish dining room,” the listing said.

The home is equipped with 10 full bathrooms and three half-bathrooms, an entertainer’s patio and a covered outdoor kitchen with pool and hot-tub spa to be built. Plans for the pool and hot-tub spa include LED lighting.

There is a neighborhood beach and boat slips.

Wendy Alper and Stuart Alper have the listing for Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty.

“The view is unbelievable,” Wendy Alper said, adding that because of the way the house is sited, looking out the primary suite’s windows feels like the sea views are everywhere. “Views on literally four sides of the house.”

The primary suite has “never-ending water views, spa bathroom and 2 walk-in closets” and there is an upstairs rec room, three laundries, a mudroom, and a wine room, according to the listing.

The new home uses some small portions of a house that had been built there in 1935, including a little bit of the foundation.

“Each space is breathtaking – from the dramatic open concept family and living rooms to the sensational kitchen with two islands, adjacent butler’s pantry/wet-bar and seriously stylish dining room,” the listing reads.
