Genesee Beer is rolling out a refreshed look across its product portfolio while bringing back a seasonal favorite just in time for warmer weather in the Finger Lakes region.
Genesee Summer Brew returns after nearly 30 years
Genesee Summer Brew, a golden lager brewed with New York honey, is back after a nearly three-decade hiatus.
First introduced in 1997, the seasonal beer is designed as a light, easy-drinking option for warmer months with a subtle sweetness, according to Jaime Polisoto, Genesee’s brand director.
New packaging debuts across Genesee lineup
Alongside the return of Summer Brew, Genesee is introducing updated packaging across its specialty and core beer portfolio.
The redesigned cans and packaging feature brewer notes and illustrated elements highlighting the people and stories behind the brand, Polisoto said.
The refresh also modernizes signature design elements, including Genesee’s iconic “red eye” logo and other heritage details intended to stand out on store shelves.
“The updated Summer Brew packaging reflects where we’re headed — modern, bold and unmistakably Genesee — while staying true to the heritage that’s made this brewery a staple for generations,” Polisoto said.
Where to find Genesee Summer Brew
Genesee Summer Brew is available for a limited time while supplies last.
The updated packaging is now rolling out at retail and convenience stores across the Rochester and Finger Lakes region, with a full rollout expected through 2027.
