Much of New York will feel like 95 to 104 degrees Tuesday as dangerous heat and humidity settle across the state.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday for much of western, central and eastern New York, including Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, Watertown, the Finger Lakes, the Southern Tier, the Mohawk Valley and the Capital Region.

Heat can become dangerous quickly
The National Weather Service warns that hot temperatures and high humidity can increase the risk of heat-related illnesses, especially for older adults, young children, people with chronic medical conditions and anyone working or spending long periods outdoors.
Officials recommend:
Anyone showing signs of heat stroke should be treated as a medical emergency. Call 911 immediately.
