A winning Powerball ticket worth $500,000 was sold at a Buffalo store, according to the New York Lottery.
Lottery officials said that the Double Play Powerball ticket was one of two sold at BJ’s Wholesale Club on Transit Road in Buffalo. The ticket was for the July 11 drawing.
Double Play is a $1 add-on feature to Powerball, which gives players another chance to match their Powerball numbers in a second separate drawing for a top prize of $10 million, according to lottery officials.
Currently, the estimated Powerball jackpot is at $478 million, with a cash payout value of $212.2 million, according to the Powerball lottery website.
