President Donald Trump is expected to make his first official appearance since Aug. 26 on Tuesday, the White House says. According to Trump’s public schedule posted via Roll Call, the president will make an announcement related to the Department of Defense from the Oval Office at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Over the weekend, a barrage of unsubstantiated posts about Trump’s health flooded social media sites as the president didn’t make any public appearances since a Cabinet meeting last week or over the Labor Day weekend. He did, however, golf Saturday, Sunday and Monday, according to his public schedule.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed earlier this summer that Trump has chronic vascular insufficiency or CVI — which occurs when leg veins fail to send blood back to the heart properly — after Trump’s visible symptoms of leg swelling and hand bruising began to raise questions. The cause for the bruised hands? Frequent handshaking and aspirin, according to the White House.
