A man accused of attacking another man with an arrow during an argument was arrested Monday evening on suspicion of murder, the Redding Police Department announced.
Investigators said the victim, a 46-year-old Redding man, was taken to the hospital after being impaled in the chest with an arrow. The man, who police did not identify, later died.
The attack occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Radio Lane, the Redding police said in a post on its Facebook page.
Detectives interviewed Glen Stevenson, 62, of Redding and later arrested him on suspicion of murder, police said.
Police did not say what Stevenson and the victim were arguing about.
Stevenson, who police said has an extensive crime history, was on felony probation. He is being held in the Shasta County Jail with bail set at $1 million.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Redding Police Department’s Detective Division at 530-225-4214.
