Construction is underway this week at the Onanda Park Upland Area, the Town of Canandaigua announced.
The town provided a map on its website and Facebook page showing the work zone in red, where dump trucks, two excavators and a bulldozer will be moving through regularly.
The access road to the park’s main parking lot will remain open and is marked as a black line on the map.
Officials said they expect an increase in noise and traffic around the construction site, but say they hope to be completed by Memorial Day if the weather permits.
“We understand this phase may look messy, but it’s temporary—and the improvements will make Onanda Park an even better place to enjoy in the future,” the Town of Canandaigua wrote on its Facebook.
Onanda Park is located at 4965 County Road 16 in Canandaigua, Ontario County.
