Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever wrapped up their 2026 WNBA preseason slate Saturday with a 105-57 victory against the Nigeria National Team at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the team showed no signs of slowing as it heads into the regular season.
As for Caitlin Clark, the former Hawkeye scored 12 points on 3-for-4 shooting, 2-for-3 from 3-point land, and 4-for-4 at the free-throw line, to go along with three assists, one rebound and one steal in 13 minutes of action.
With the Fever giving every player ample playing time, there is very little worry on the offensive and defensive ends as they enter the regular-season opener on May 9 against the Dallas Wings.

Indiana concludes the 2026 WNBA preseason with a rout of the Nigeria National Team, where the Fever’s offense looked nearly unstoppable. Kelsey Michell’s 17 points led the team, and Clark contributed 12.
With the starters sitting for all of the third and fourth quarters, Damiris Dantas led the bench scoring with 16 points on 5-for-9 shooting, 4-for-6 from deep and 2-for-2 at the charity stripe. Makayla Timpson added 12 points.
Indiana has forced 25 turnovers, including 12 steals and five blocks, that it has turned into 32 points.
With the Fever opening the 2026 WNBA regular season against the Dallas Wings at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on May 9, there are plenty of positives to take from this tuneup.

Monique Billings Injury Update
Per IndyStar’s Chloe Peterson, the Fever have ruled power forward Monique Billings out for the remainder of the game. She suffered a right ankle injury in the second quarter.
While the ruling is likely a precautionary measure by the medical staff. More updates on her injury status will follow; the team has seven days until its regular-season opener.

At halftime, the Fever are walloping Nigeria by 41 points.
Mitchell leads Indiana offensively with 17 points on 6-for-9 shooting, 3-for-3 from long range and 2-for-2 from the charity stripe. Clark has 12 points on 3-for-4 shooting, 2-for-3 from deep, and 4-for-4 at the line in 13 minutes. Additionally, Timpson has 10 points on 4-for-5 shooting and 2-for-3 at the stripe.
As a team, the Fever are shooting 24-for-34 from the floor, 9-for-13 from deep and 13-for-15 at the line. Indiana has forced 14 turnovers, including nine steals and three blocks, that it has turned into 25 points off those giveaways.
Although this is a preseason game against a clearly inferior opponent, the Fever are clearly off and running on both ends of the court entering the regular season.
With the game out of hand, coach Stephanie White will likely play more of her reserves to give them proper playing time as the preseason wraps up.

At the end of the first quarter, the Fever lead Nigeria by 14 points thanks to a full team offensive effort, with Caitlin Clark finishing the frame with 6 points on 2-for-3 shooting.

According to IndyStar’s Chloe Peterson, Clark did not have any overnight swelling in her knees as a result of her hard foul against Dallas on Thursday.
Additionally, there is no leg wrap or any other precautionary activewear in the area.
