The Canandaigua Pop Up Food Pantry, originally scheduled for Jan. 26, has been cancelled due to the upcoming massive winter storm, the Town of Canandaigua announced on its Facebook page.
Ontario County is under a winter storm warning, which remains in effect from 1 a.m. Sunday to 7 p.m. Monday.
The county, including the city of Canandaigua, is predicted to get anywhere between 8 and 14 inches of snowfall throughout that time, which is expected to create dangerous travel conditions into the Monday morning commute, according to the National Weather Service.
The Town of Canandaigua is asking residents in need of resources during the storm to call the number 211 or NY Connects at 1-800-342-9871.
The next scheduled Canandaigua Pop Up Food Pantry will be held on Feb. 23.
