The New York Giants collapsed in embarrassing fashion on Sunday afternoon in The Big Easy, falling to the previously winless New Orleans Saints, 26-14, highlighted by five consecutive turnovers.
The defeat comes on the heels of an exhilarating upset of the then-undefeated Los Angeles Chargers, which now feels like a distant memory. Instead, the Giants have returned to their ongoing fever dream — nearly 15 years of relentless, punishing futility.
Things will only get more difficult for the Giants from here, as they take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a short week and then again in Week 8, with a road game against the Denver Broncos sandwiched in between. 1-7 could be here in the blink of an eye.
Here’s a look at the highest- and lowest-graded Giants players from their Week 5 loss, courtesy of Pro Football Focus.
