Students across Iowa will get a longer weekend with Iowa schools closing on Friday after heavy overnight snow.
Additional delays or cancellations could be announced, so check with your local district before sending kids to a bus stop or driving to school.

Most Des Moines Public Schools had a previously scheduled in-service day on Friday. The Downtown School, which operates on a different schedule, has a two-hour delay. Metro Kids Care also has a two-hour delay.
What schools have a virtual learning day?
Students in Perry will have a virtual learning day instead of a snow day.
