A growing pre-made cocktail brand will break ground for a manufacturing facility in its hometown of Adel.
Work on Offline Cocktails’ 10,000 square-foot plant on a 4.5-acre site at 306 Visions Parkway will start Friday, May 29, according to a news release from the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance.
Refreshments Manufacturers of Iowa, owner of the Offline Cocktails brand, produces the ready-to-drink cocktails and premium nonalcoholic mocktails for regional and national distribution. Located on the western side of Adel, the $3.82 million facility will mix, can and package Offline Cocktails.
Matt and Jodi Schweiger created the startup in early 2026. The ready-to-drink cocktail market is one of the only segments of the alcoholic beverages industry seeing growth amid a national decline in consumption, according to Forbes.
In a town of nearly 6,500 people, the new facility will create eight jobs, according to the news release. Three of those jobs have qualifying wages of at least $35.54 per hour, allowing the development to receive state support through Iowa’s Business Incentives for Growth program.
Refreshments Manufacturers of Iowa was awarded $121,162 in tax credits by the Iowa Economic Development Authority in March. Its expansion in Adel affirms the area as a destination for industrial growth, Rachel Wacker, executive director of the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance, said in the news release.
“It signals the emergence of food and beverage manufacturing as a growing sector within our regional economy,” Wacker said. “This investment not only diversifies the economy but also positions the region to attract additional companies in industry production, processing, and distribution.”
Other manufacturers in Adel include Monarch Materials Group, a maker of window products.
