NIACC women's basketball player Reggi Spotts commits to Iowa State

Reggi Spotts of North Iowa Area Community College has committed to the Iowa State women’s basketball team.

Spotts was a NJCAA Division II first-team All-American this past season. The 5-foot-8 guard averaged 18.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game for a NIACC team that finished 28-4 after falling in the national quarterfinals.

Spotts, a Mason City High School alum, shot 40.9% from the field, 35.0% from 3-point range and 81.1% from the free-throw line.

Spotts scored a season-high 30 points against Northeast Community College on Jan. 31. She had nine double-doubles during her two-year NIACC career.

She’ll have two years of eligibility remaining.
