Iowa football announces Ohio State date is sold out

Iowa football has sold another one of its 2026 home dates out.

After previously announcing sellouts for its home games against Northern Iowa and Iowa State, the Hawkeyes announced that its Oct. 3 matchup against Ohio State is now officially sold out. It will be the first trip to Iowa City for the Buckeyes since Iowa topped Ohio State, 55-24, in November of 2017.

Then-Iowa quarterback Nate Stanley threw five touchdown passes in that blowout victory over the Buckeyes in 2017. Iowa has dropped the past two meetings against Ohio State, though. The Hawkeyes fell at Ohio Stadium in Columbus during the 2022 season, 54-10, and then in the 2024 season, 35-7.

Tickets still remain for Iowa’s home games against Northern Illinois (Sept. 5), Wisconsin (Oct. 31), Purdue (Nov. 14), and Nebraska (Nov. 27).

Iowa has sold out 28 consecutive games inside Kinnick Stadium, dating back to the start of the 2022 season.
