White Castle Sliders coming to 1,000 new vending machines

White Castle fans might soon be able to get their Slider fix on the fly.

About 1,000 White Castle-branded vending machines, stocked with a variety of burgers, are being installed nationwide over the next year.

Following the December 2025 launch of the White Castle Crave & Go machines at Boston Logan International Airport, the Ohio-based burger chain is working with vending machine manufacturer Automated Retail Technologies to expand locations.

Expect to see the touchscreen machines in more airports, as well as on college, hospital and corporate campuses.

Automated Retail Technologies operates the Just Baked Smart Bistro machines that vend hot foods from various brands. About 800 of the machines are currently in operation, including about 18 in Indiana.

Vending machines now have White Castle Sliders

White Castle items have been stocked in the Just Baked machines since their launch about five years ago.

Machines at Harrah’s Hoosier Park in Anderson carry Hot Pockets sandwiches, Stouffer’s lasagna, and Wow Bao items as well as White Castle Sliders.

“Literally, we’ve probably sold millions of individual Sliders. It’s been our number one seller since day one,” said Troy Hutchinson, director of marketing operations for Automated Retail Technologies.

The Sarasota, Florida-based manufacturer also created Wow Bao-branded kiosks located in airports in Fort Myers, Florida, and Charleston, South Carolina, and is designing a Jimmy Dean-branded breakfast foods machine.

The new 1,000 White Castle-branded machines will carry only items from the Ohio-based slider chain. About 15 of the branded kiosks are operating, including 10 at the Boston airport.

White Castle and the Automated Retail Technologies will test products designed specifically for the machines, the companies said.

Food from White Castle will continue to be stocked in other Just Baked machines, Hutchinson said.

How the machines work

When an item is selected on the touchscreen, the machine heats up the food, then dispenses it in a package.

Cold items, such as cheesecake, also are stocked in some of the machines and dispensed cold.
