Two men found dead in Bloomington tent identified

Monroe County Coroner Jeff Hall has released the identities of two men found dead April 20 inside a tent in the woods off East Miller Drive.

The deceased are Harold Adams Jr. and Kyle Douthitt, both 56 and of Bloomington.

They were reportedly living with the property owner’s consent in a tent in a private encampment down a steep embankment, according to a Bloomington Police Department report.

Police said the bodies showed no visible signs of trauma to indicate they were killed.

Hall said autopsies will help determine the men’s cause and manner of death. Police said illegal drugs and paraphernalia were found inside the tent and that the men may have died from overdoses.
