BLOOMINGTON — The Indiana women’s basketball team announced its nonconference schedule for the 2025-26 season Tuesday.
The Hoosiers’ marquee games include a matchup at Florida State on Nov. 16, a rematch against Butler in Bloomington on Nov. 19 and a trip out to Fort Myers to participate in the Coconut Hoops Classic.
Indiana will open the event with a first-round game against Gonzaga on Nov. 28 and play the winner of Iowa State and Marquette on Nov. 30. The Hoosiers and Gonzaga have never played each other in women’s basketball and the Zags are one of three first-time opponents on the schedule (ULM and Western Carolina).
Florida State is IU’s only guaranteed nonconference game against an opponent that made the NCAA tournament last year. The Seminoles went 24-9 last season and lost to LSU in the second round, but their leading scorer Ta’Niya Latson transferred to South Carolina.
Latson led all Division I players in scoring this season with 25.2 points per game.
The Hoosiers will host an exhibition game on Oct. 27 against Missouri S&T before officially opening the season with its new-look roster that features two returning scholarship players at Assembly Hall on Nov. 4.
