It was a pretty big weekend for Notre Dame’s star CJ Carr, as he attended the Manning Passing Academy this weekend with some of the top quarterbacks in the country.
The second-year Irish starter not only was a counselor for the younger players, he got a chance to compete with his peers. On3’s Wilson Alexander named Carr as one of his top performers at the event, and although it wasn’t numerically ranked, he was the second name on the list.
Alexander noted that Carr “had one of the smoothest throwing motions among the quarterbacks… There was an efficiency to this mechanics that stood out. Carr didn’t make many flashy throws, but he showed accuracy and touch to multiple levels of the field.”
The expectations that in his Year 2 of his Notre Dame starting career, that there’s another level to his game. Carr is one of the top statistical players returning from last year, and it’s hard to see him not improving on an exceptional first season.
