Richmond man charged with repeatedly exposing himself to child

RICHMOND, IN — A Richmond man has been accused of repeatedly exposing himself to a child.

Dustin S. Pierce, 34, is charged in Wayne Superior Court 1 with attempted child seduction, child solicitation, stalking and performing sexual conduct in the presence of a child.

The most serious of the charges is a Level 3 felony carrying up to 16 years in prison. Two of the other counts are Level 5 felonies with maximum six-year sentences.

According to an affidavit, a child now in her early teens told investigators that Pierce had “repeatedly and intentionally (exposed) his penis to her over an extended period of time.”

Charging documents allege the incidents took place between June 2024 and May of this year.

The court document said when an adult confronted Pierce about the allegations, he tearfully told her “he had a problem and needed help.”

A detective with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department reported he was later contacted by Pierce’s attorney, who told him his client did not wish to be interviewed about the case.

Pierce, who was arrested on Tuesday, July 14, has received an Oct. 19 trial date. He was released from the Wayne County Jail after posting a $60,000 bond.

Court records reflect no prior criminal charges against the Richmond man.
