It is unknown when Notre Dame offensive lineman Charles Jagusah will be ready to take the field in the 2025 season after he was injured in an ATV accident in Wyoming and underwent surgery to repair a fractured left humerus.
The team said Jagusah’s prognosis from the surgery is “favorable,” so that is good news. And when he does return to the field, he will certainly make an instant impact as he is one of the better linemen in the country.
Jagusah’s future is bright, as evidenced by Pro Football Focus College ranking him as the No. 5 OT for the 2026 NFL Draft.
Jagusah was projected to start at left tackle for the Fighting Irish entering the 2024 season but tore a pectoral muscle early in training camp. After missing the entire regular season, he returned for their College Football Playoff run. He filled in for Rocco Spindler at right guard and then started the national title game against Ohio State at left tackle.
He provides a lot of versatility, as he was slated to start at right guard for the Irish this fall.
